I was introduced to Chakras in a yoga class over a year ago. The book used for the class took a more analytical and academic approach (Eastern Body, Western Mind), a good book, but not one that spoke to me. I was looking for something that spoke more to my heart and would encourage me and guide me through some deep work. On the surface, the idea of using fables to heal a lifetime of internal negative dialogue within oneself seems almost silly and childlike. But in so many ways, the fables served to disarm me and as I let my guard down each week and read each little one, I would be hit by emotions and thoughts I had never considered as things holding me back. The questions you are asked to explore each week seem too simple at first, but if you take the time to really focus on the things you have pushed into the back of your mind, once the dams break there is no going back.What I loved most is that it guides you through the whole year, week by week, and only requires a few minutes of your time each day. The work on the first chakra takes you through digging into your foundation- how you learned to behave and think through the behaviors of your parents and grandparents. Just the work on that chakra was eye opening and led me to start the process of letting go of negative behaviors and thoughts. There were some weeks I would spend a couple of weeks on because so much was coming through and I needed the extra time to work on it. And that's the beauty of the self guided pace. If you need more time or a break, you take it and it's there for you. I am on the last two weeks of the toolkit and I can say that I have changed so much in how I think about myself and the world around me. I have learned to take off the mask and be my true self. This work has changed my relationships with my husband, family and friends and I feel encouraged to find ways to be more honest, loving, open, empathetic, while also being clear about what I need and want for myself and to stick up for myself.Like anything else you do in the self help arena, you truly do get out of it what you put in, it is not magic. The questions and meditations each week truly get to the heart of the matter each week and you have to be willing to be completely honest and open with yourself. Hard truths and painful memories may come up and you have to be brave enough to face them head on and push through. Spend time with the journalling and just write whatever comes to mind. Explore the thoughts and images that come to you during the meditation days. I am already looking forward to going through the toolkit again next year and do even deeper work. The only downside I can think of is that I have not been able to find a group online or in person to work with, especially since the book caters to situations where you may be doing the work within a group setting. I think that would be fun, but there is plenty to be done solo!
These cards are fantastic! I followed instructions given to me to cleanse them (bury in a jar of sea salt for a week, soak them in a full moon, charge them in the sun) before use. I did a few sample readings as directed in the manual and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the cards read. I continually cleanse them & meditate with them between uses. I am a novice, but so far, these cards are great. A little guidance for what might be holding you back from the things you really want to achieve.
This toolkit and these cards are incredietools of manifestation and divination. There are so many levels to each card and the deck as a whole. Discover your true purpose and live into it for a life of deep joy!!

This is a truly amazing book for anyone interested in starting healing in their life. I never realized how very important that my Grandparents were in my life until I started this workbook. It has helped me tremendously as I started my spiritual journey two years ago. This was one of the first books I read, and it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. If you would like to start a healing process, then start with this book.
Got this for my girlfriend a few months after getting the deck and it doesn't disappoint. It's a really nice companion to basic readings to really help you get a lot more out of the card. Highly recommended!

We had been using another excellent math curriculum but found that this one is a bit better as you get into high school. For this reason, I am going to cut over to Saxon at the 7th grade with this book going forward. Results with Saxon for my older children are excellent. The curriculum is rigorous and prepares the student for SATs and university. We use the Art Reed AND the Saxon Dive CDs to help illuminate and give further examples. With Saxon, your student will be well taught. Having said that, if no one in your home is comfortable with math, it would be helpful if you had just one person that you could run a problem or two by if the solutions key doesn't suffice. Otherwise, there is also the Saxon Teacher CDs which are lengthier and may give further instruction. The Art Reed and Dive are usually 8-12 minutes a piece and are sufficient for most student. I love this curriculum and have total confidence that it will prepare my students for any major requiring math, or give them a high school exposure that has the depth and breadth to be the last math that they will have if they pursue something in the Humanities.
My daughter struggles with math. We bought the Dive Into Math instructional cd that correlates with this text/edition. Using the two combined, my daughter is understanding and retaining the material! I love how this curriculum reinforces learning by giving review questions from previous chapters in each lesson. The book gives little numbers beside each problem referencing from what chapter each question comes so that if the student can't remember, they know where to look for the answers.
We just started home schooling our 11 y/o and having seen what she's been doing in public school, we use the textbook for a guide line, the worksheets for practice occasionally and I am filling in the gaps left by public school. If you and your child are math-minded you could probably ger away with just getting the text book for a guide line but if math is not your thing then you can literally just follow the book. A little dry thay way but that's what I am going to have to do with History. Lol. Saxon is good, definitely recommend ðŸ‘
This curriculum has been such a major blessing for us and our son. He was struggling with ACE, which required a lot of help from my wife and I. We finally decided to try something different and went with Saxon. We bought this, along with the matching DIVE CD. Now, he has gotten caught up and is several weeks ahead in a little over 2 months! The lessons have problems that overlap with previous concepts, so that the student sees all the concepts multiple times to truly help them learn the material. My son actually enjoys math now, which is the biggest endorsement of all!
Saxon Math doesn't add in all the extra crap that Singapore math does. It breaks math down to basics, explains and demonstrates how you apply. I wish I had used this method with homeschooling from the start. It takes what has been learned, and builds upon it.
We are homeschoolers and have been using Saxon Math for four years. If you get this book, you will NOT need Algebra 1/2, as this book ends with all of the skill sets needed to go into Algebra 1. We never used the solutions manual, but everything else is necessary to teach and learn.
I homeschool my kids and have struggled to find a good math curriculum. This is it for me! I like how they lay everything out for me and the kids. We rarely have to search out another resource if there is confusion on a concept. Highly recommend for any level student.
My son's school uses this book. So helpful for me to have the set with the solutions that break down the steps. I then know how to approach the problems to help my son grasp the concepts needed to solve the math problems.

A great puget sound history
Dr. Charles Pierce LeWarne is a historian who seemingly specializes in the Washington area (e.g., see his book, Washington State). In this book, Dr. LeWarne focuses on an often-told tale---19th/20th century utopian communities---but rather than give a broad survey of a great deal of such communites, he concentrates on a 30-year period, and only five communities: The Puget Sound Co-Operative Colony; Equality Colony; Freeland; Burley Colony; and "Home."LeWarne notes at the beginning of the book, "Near the term of the present century, a half dozen of so communitarian experiments, commonly called utopian or socialist colonies, appeared near the inland waters of western Washington that embrace Puget Sound. Part of a long communitarian tradition and of a contemporary revival, they drew together radicals, reformers, and generally good and well-meaning people in a common search for a better life. The experiments disappeared, and their settlers merged forgotten into the general populace."His own observations are quite pertinent, and rather charmingly understated: e.g., "the persons attracted were not necessarily the most valuable workers; needing money, the colony accepted some who had the required fee but were not strong contributors thereafter." And "Ironically, the two most vocal defenders of free love at Home ... were in their seventies."In his conclusion, LeWarne notes, "The communitarian experiments of western Washington failed not only to achieve their grandest aspirations but also to maintain their very existence.... Despite relative longevity, the Washington experiments, like those elsewhere, failed to endure."This exceptional book is of continued interest to anyone interested in intentional communities, utopian societies, communes, ecovillages, or similar experiments in living arrangements.
This is one of the best written and researched books out there. The respect that Dr. LeWarne gives these communities helps bring out their achivements and their follies. A must-read for any local historian or person interested in Western History.

I read this, and really enjoyed the concept of performing fairy tale world magic via magic playing cards. so wonderful and imaginative! yes, I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys the Amazing World of Gumball TV show, and wants a greatly original take on a fantasy quest story. at least, I really think it is great.
