They are having all these articles about Elvis and prescription drug abuse, so thought I would read Priscilla's account of their story and relationship. Very interesting and I think she was honest...but now a lot more time has passed since she wrote that book, and some of his "Mafia" members wrote books, and former girlfriends like Linda Thompson, who I also think was an honest truthful person, so the final consensus seems to be he didn't believe he was a drug addict because his drugs were prescribed...so much has changed in 40 years and today he could have been helped...but of course, he would be 83 even if he had lived a clean life. Sadly it changed his personality which a lot of those drugs do and Priscilla left when his life style became too much for her. I fully understand her dilemma....living with a group of men and never having any "alone time" with your husband, him always gone and leading the bachelor's life when away from home....I don't blame her a bit and for some reason he didn't understand the meaning of "marriage"...Seems like Lisa is doing okay now that she's nearly 50, 4 beautiful children. Elvis would have been proud.
I enjoyed reading this book, it is a love story of 2 people who really love each but fame and temptations took over. I really think Elvis and Pricilla would have found their way back to each other. Doesn't matter what other people think Pricilla is still keeping Elvis's memories alive.
Another awesome book about Elvis and Priscilla. I've seen the movie. This story told by Priscilla Presley. Any book written about Elvis, by Priscilla, is a purchase for me. Loved the movie and this book!
I’m usually not much of a reader but I couldn’t take my eyes off this book. I would wake up read it for an hour, then before bed I would read it for a few more hours. I read this book in 3 days and was very sad when it was over. It is great look into what Elvis’ life was like. Elvis is often painted out to be a villain and a less than fun person to be around but Priscilla addresses all of his issues but also talks about his intentions and how loving he was. I recommend!
I enjoyed reading this and because I read it I recently visited Graceland for the first time. The only thing I didn't like was that a stock photo is used in the picture of the book. It DID state in the description that the jacket cover was not included but I missed it the first round. I just think if you're selling something it should be the actual item as you'll get it.
I really enjoyed this book and have been a huge Elvis fan and still am. I have read several different books about him and always find them very interesting. His life was so tragic but this book went back to the times they met in Germany and continued on from there and it was one of those books that you can't put down. Whether you are an Elvis fan or not this is a very good book.
Love the book. It did not come in good condition though. It was worn out and it wasn't the edition mentioned in the description.

While my old deck has over a decade of energy and love put into it, the clarity of the new cards is wonderful, and they're visually easier to interpret simply because you can see everything so much better!This is not a deck that will spoonfeed you meaning, nor will it coddle you, but that shouldn't put off new readers from working with it. Indeed, I would consider it an unparalleled choice. It's a remarkably powerful tool that will help develop your intuition like no other and deliver a hefty dose of reality about your situation, spirit, and mind whether you're ready for it or not. You will find it to be a blunt instrument when needed, and also a precision tool when called for. It's incredibly nurturing in its own way, but not what I classify as a "soft" deck. The cardstock is substantial, the print quality great, and I love the satiny finish — it overhand shuffles very nicely.
Amazing deck, gorgeous artwork backed up by kabalistic symbolism. Lots to work with, but friendly to newcomers too not like some decks that are too esoteric. I think it's gonna be one of those decks you keep gaining more and more from.

The images in thenew edition of this wonderous deck are more vibrant - with the colors being much closer to the original paintings.The transparent Tree of Life overlay is a brilliant addition for those who study the universal "picture" of reality as manifested in Tarot.

As an avid cookbook collector and life-long vegetarian, I was eager to read this book, in hopes of adding some quick and easy recipes to my collection that I could make on nights when I am tired and want to prepare an unfussy dinner. Unfortunately, I found this to be one of the worst cookbooks I have ever read—so bad in fact, that I returned it and got a refund of the $0.99 purchase price. Yep, it wasn’t even worth $1. Why? A typical recipe in this cookbook was for dishes like a wrap that consisted of canned beans, a tortilla, and some lettuce, with no sauce or seasonings, and nothing to add flavor or interest. Another recipe directed the reader to boil some dried pasta in broth, add some chopped asparagus, and voilà —dinner! The recipe for a Caesar wrap consisted of chopped squash, bottled Caesar dressing, and a tortilla, and neglected to mention that typical Caeser dressing is not vegetarian, as it contains anchovies. Vegetarian bottled Caesar dressing is actually quite difficult to find, and the book failed to acknowledge this or to include a recipe for a homemade vegetarian version. It is clear that the author has a very limited understanding of vegetarian cuisine, and this was exemplified by the many recipes in which a protein source was completely omitted, leaving the dish incomplete and nutritionally unbalanced. Personally, I don’t need a cookbook to direct me to eat chopped vegetables with no seasoning, or to open a can of beans and throw them in a tortilla. That is not dinner, and is neither inspired, nor appetizing. However, if that is your cup of tea, then you should buy this cookbook.Update: I recently purchased several cookbooks that I like much more than this one. The first one is "Power Plates: 100 Nutritionally Balanced, One-Dish Vegan Meals" by Gena Hamshaw, which is vegan, and offers creative but quick and delicious meal options, which is what I was looking for. The second one is, "Eat: The Little Book of Fast Food" by Nigel Slater, and while it is not vegetarian, it strikes the combo I was looking for of fast/easy + inspired. Even though it is not a vegetarian cookbook, it does have a fair number of vegetarian recipes, and I plan to substitute veg protein products for the meat in the non-veg recipes. I have found both of these cookbooks to be so much better than "The Simply Vegetarian Cookbook".
I am not a vegetarian, I eat pretty much everything, but enjoy the idea of meat-free dishes that are satisfying and delicious. Pretty much what Susan's book is all about. Her husband is a "carnivor" (don't you love the way she refers to him?) so in many recipes she will add a suggestion at the end for a "flexitarian" approach, in which the same recipe is spiced up with some animal protein, if so desired. She includes just the right amount of prose before each recipe, not crowding the book with personal stories and thoughts, like so many authors seem to do these days. I highly recommend her book and already cooked a couple of recipes from it, hopefully will blog about them soon...
The subtitle to Susan's cookbook is "Fuss-Free Recipes Everyone Will Love." She's too modest to do so, but she could have claimed "Fuss-Free and Fabulous Recipes...".I found the organization of the book appealing in its simplicity - there are eight chapters, including 'no cook', 'thirty minutes max', 'one pot & skillet', 'sheet pan & baking dish', and 'kitchen staples.' I skipped over the slow cooker section because, well, I don't have one. But she does give conversions for slow cooker recipes to the stove top as well as pressure cooker to stove top. I did't try the adaptations, but I will.In addition to being fuss-free and fabulous, her recipes are also flexible. At the end of her introduction, Susan writes, "There are enough things to be stressed about in life. Dinner shouldn't be one of them" (pg. xiii.). I agree!But, my biggest compliment to a cookbook author is: It got me off the couch and into the kitchen! It inspired me to actually cook.Seriously. I have so many beautiful, even well-written cookbooks, but if they don't inspire me into the kitchen, I just can't rave about them. This book has clearly written recipes, a few beautiful photos of completed dishes, and lots and lots of tips about adding more vegetable-based meals to your table. It's not a cookbook for vegetarians alone. It's a cookbook for everyone who is interested in some fuss-free, fabulous ways to get more vegetable on their plates.
I had high hopes for this cookbook due to the good reviews. However, I am quite disappointed. It has some nice ideas like squash in different combinations with beans which I like but most recipes are not cooking but rather mixing some canned things together - and the taste is respectively. I would suggest rather buying the book Love real Food by Kathryne Taylor. I love her recipes - creative, not too complicated and great taste
I bought this book because I’m trying to eat healthier and many of the recipe names appealed to me. I like that the recipes use “normal†ingredients and the author provides variation instructions for vegan or flexitarian, etc. Good variety of recipes. I do wish there were more pictures. Only thing I found concerning is that the majority of the recipes are VERY high sodium, which is not great for me trying to cook for my husband with heart issues. I did appreciate the author including the nutrition info. Certainly for $0.99 the book was well worth it. I will try to modify some of the recipes to lower the sodium content.
I had such high hopes for this cookbook, however, I could only find a handful of recipes that I actually wanted to make. Sadly, this one was returned.

I like the book. It is well written and has a lot of information. It is also full of references andshows that the author did not just scour the internet. However, other than the Amazon pagesaying the author is a writer on health issues there is no information on what her credentialsare and there is no information about her. I take my health seriously and want informationfrom people who are educated and have credentials to make me feel like the informationgiven is safe. I did not read anything I questioned, but it takes a moment to add that informationthat would make me feel safer.

This book is beautiful put together and so easy to follow and understand. My children and I are studying how to use natural products to heal all our random ailments. We are slowly working toward a more holistic approach to health and this has been a big help. I love how the recipes are so easy to follow and the ingredients are pretty basic and readily available. I look forward to trying the teas and herbal remedies provided. The layout is well done and the overall reading of this did not leave me confused but satisfied that I can dive into this without having advanced degrees in this field.
This is such a practical book, I love it. I could see myself using nearly all of the remedies in this book and getting everything for them easily as well. Sometimes the great herbal books are filled with once in a life time needed recipes with odd ingredients. But this one is perfect for practical use

It also gives contraindication with the uses of the various herb recipes and herbs including types of medications they shouldn't be taken with, what not to take during pregnancy, lactation, or various medical conditions.
I was disappointed in this herb book. There were not that many herbs and not much information. Missing many herbs that I think should be included. There are better books out there. Keep searching.
I love this book's content, the author has gone to great lengths to provide quality content in terms of recipes for herbal remedies. It is written in an easy to understand and follow manner therefore very helpful to a beginner like me. It is put in practical terms how we can utilise what we already have, the plants, leaves and herbs that already surround us. A very handy book full of useful information.

I found the book very enlightening and frightening at the same time. Knowledge is power, but I'm feeling a bit powerless in facing the faceless machine of our government.What recourse do we have as citizens when our own government is looking more and more like the enemy? My only criticism is that this book needs to be followed by an Idiot's Guide to Anonymous Browsing and Encryption. Some of us are smart, bit put not tech savvy enough to execute all the recommendations in the book:(
It was informative and it answered the basic questions most people would ask. It is however a beginner's guide there is allot more to learn about the darknet . He should write another book for advanced users .... I LIKED IT OVER ALL.
The more I read, the more I realized no one is ever truly anonymous. If you try one thing, there are problems. Trying one way has a downside, try another and you are vulnerable in another.
It is what it's advertised to be -- a good beginner's guide to understanding internet security and anonymity.
I'm not the best judge of this material BUT it appears plausible and I'm definitely intrigued and intend to do some further study. Cool stuff to keep prying non-family eyes off my stuff
Nice book for beginners.
I really liked the book, I do wish that it had more up to date information though. The only other problems that I had with this book was that fact that it just was so thin, and that it didn't have the pages numbered. I would still recommend it to anyone who has restrictive internet firewalls in their country, or for anyone who is a security geek like myself.
Interesting information, heard the author on the radio. Haven't gotten past the third chapter really. but what Ive read so far the author is knowledgeable.
