I have been using LR almost since its inception, you might say I am a professional amateur. LR has been invaluable for me keeping track and understanding photography, I have learned so much from using it. I have read several different books about LR they have all taught me something. However the detail Victoria brings to understanding everything you wanted to know , or what is available that you didn't know in LR is Awesome. you can find just what you want or look through the overview of any module that you want. After reading her book I am using the book module now to print some of my own books. I never considered it before because I didn't have time to figure it all out. after 20 minutes of reading I was up and running with it.Thank you Victoria
I think Lightroom Queen is by far the best resource I have found for Lightroom.What I like best about Victoria Bampton’s Lightroom FAQ books are the clear explanations of process and workflow. As I anticipate a question, she seems to understand my next question and answer it. That means that I can smoothly move through without having to check other places to understand references. She writes about the complexity of Lightroom in a clear way. Writing about complex subjects with clarity is a rare talent.In the past I have used her books primarily as reference books with bits of reading here and there. Now reading through this latest book in a methodical way, I am examining my own workflow and improving it. By going through it this way, I learn more about the structure of Lightroom’s handling of photographs. I also find that reading her step-by-step explanation of a panel, for instance in the Develop module is refining my process and improving my photographs.Using her books led me to her website which is a wealth of valuable information. After signing up as a member on the Lightroom Queen website, I have access to the Forums and receive emails with in depth discussion of different subjects. She is consistent and I can rely on her to keep me up-to-date.
This book is great. I have read and used other Lightroom books but they just barely cover the surface. This book goes into every aspect of Lightroom Classic CC. I am only half way through and I have learned so much in much more detail than I have seen before. And you get access to her website and a discussion forum which is very responsive to your questions. If you have Lightroom Classic CC, forget the other books. This is the one to buy.
I bought a very expensive and I'm sure very good book on Lightroom. I found it very confusing and very awkward in the sense that I was expected to read twenty pages on any one topic before I went on to the next. Lightroom Classic CC -- The Missing FAQ was a life-saver. It told me what I needed to know and even told me what pages I could skip and come back to later. Highly recommended if you are just staring out.

I have victoria's previous book on Lightroom, "Lightroom CC/6 The Missing FAQ." This one brings us up to date with Lightroom's current iteration of "Classic CC". I can't say enough about how valuable and extensive these books are. If you only have one book on Lightroom, this is the one. You will never have to read the entire book, but regardless of your problem/question/need for information, it will be answered here. Highly recommended. The breadth and depth of her knowledge regarding Lightroom is breathtaking. If you need more focused or personal help, Victoria is available to those who purchase her book, once you register at her website. She has personally helped me and many others resolve a particularly vexing problem about a year ago. I won't go into the details, since it has been resolved, but she got involved with Adobe on our behalf. prompting them to address the issue and we eventually got the problem solved by Adobe's hard work revising some rather tricky coding.
Victoria Bampton is far and away the most helpful person of whom I know when it comes to understanding and using Lightroom, and in this instance, Lightroom Classic CC. Over the years, I have used lots of books to better understand and use Lightroom. Victoria is so incredible, I have stopped buying other Lightroom "how to" books. Her recent book, like all of her others, is super organized and clear. It is very easy to follow. No matter whether you are a beginner or a long time user of Lightroom, you will love this book. And speaking of long time Lightroom users, you probably will not find yourself reading this book from cover to cover. Much that is in it will be quite familiar. However, I think that those parts that are unique to Lightroom Classic will be quite helpful. Something that I have appreciated in the past is the way that Victoria regular updates her books. As Adobe adds more and more to LR Classic, Victoria will keep you up to date, either by book updates or on her website. And you will be notified when these updates have been made. One last thing, if you buy this book, you should know that you are free to contact Victoria if you have any difficult questions or issues. I don't know what I would do without her help. Plus, she generally responds to inquiries in less than 24hrs. If you have not yet purchased this book and you are a Lightroom Classic user, do yourself a favor. Get this book.
